We know the job title says ‘General Manager, Marketing & Strategy’. But what we’re really looking for here is a top gun dancer/choreographer. Someone with bold, creative vision and the skills, talent and influence to execute it with flair and precision.

Are you a Fred Astaire with the presence, professionalism, profile, personality and pizzazz to enable great strategic transformation? A warm and sophisticated Ginger Rogers who takes a consulting/partnership approach to all they do? A resilient Patrick Swayze with the leadership confidence and courage to work under pressure and in stressful and dynamic work environments? A savvy Paula Abdul who engages others in high level strategy and marketing intelligence, breaking down complex ideas into easily understood steps?

Patently, we don’t want someone who’ll waltz in to deliver more of the same. The leader we’re seeking is as agile, adept and sure-footed as they are strategically creative. And whose excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills welcome and inspire others to follow.

AND YOU ARE…?

Let’s not dance around – you must have proven experience providing high-level strategic and operational leadership within a large and complex organisation, along with:

  • Appropriate Tertiary qualifications
  • Experience in staff development and values-based leadership
  • Commercial and business acumen with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Extensive experience influencing senior executives driving strategy and marketing change
  • Experience identifying voice of customer (internal and external) with intelligence to inform and develop strategic brand advantage
  • Having led, developed and executed contemporary and innovative marketing programs
  • Desirable: experience in service-based sectors and strategy/marketing experience in a consulting space

Reporting to the CEO, your role entails:

  • Leading the design and transformation of the newly-formed marketing and strategy function
  • Providing astute, agile leadership and direction to a continuously evolving corporate strategy
  • Choreographing the development and execution of innovative marketing programs
  • Leading development of a finely curated property and services portfolio of connected communities, synonymous with a highly recognisable ‘showcase’ brand
  • Identifying and operationalising commercial opportunities
  • Responsibility for effective financial management reporting and forecasting
  • Instilling confident responsiveness in the leadership team, CEO and Board through effective relationship development and professional prowess
